Last 10 Days, Final Countdown to Pre-Order Life with Duggee Starts Tomorrow

(September 1, 2024) We have 10 days remaining in our Life with Duggee pre-sale, so now is the time to decide how many books you wish to order for your own young family or for your neighbors with kids, Golden Retriever-loving friends, school system, local library, etc.
I’m so grateful for the 24 people who have already made their orders and donations. We have raised $854 thus far and this is amazing! I have decided to print 3000 books, 2500 in English and 500 in Italian, and the money from your pre-orders will be a great help in supporting this effort. Behind the scenes, I have also finalized the text and printing layout for both editions and have prepared both the American distributor and printer for their next steps. In early October, I will be promoting Life with Duggee at an official event hosted by the Golden Retriever Club of America in West Springfield, MA because luckily enough I will already be in the Northeast at that time! In preparation for this one-day promotional event, I am printing beautiful bookmarks and a short run of 5 hardback books to have on hand. Don’t forget a portion of the proceeds from this pre-sale campaign (and from this promotional event) are being donated to the GRCA’s Golden Retriever Foundation for research, rescue and education of the breed.
If you missed the first announcement, let me tell you a little bit about Life with Duggee. This project is a dream come true for me…Since as long as I can remember, I have secretly dreamed of being a published author. My dreams of book writing involved, in all honesty, an adult non-fiction novel but there’s always time for that. What happened, instead, is that I experienced an organic ‘ah-ha’ moment last summer while taking my son to summer camp. So, I began writing this book and even Cesare jumped in to work on it with me, which made it more special and important.
Life with Duggee shares some of the joys and not-so-easy moments of what it is like to be raised with a Golden Retriever puppy from the unique perspective of a young boy, who is just like many other young boys and girls out there in the world with their own fears, concerns, needs and big emotions. And Duggee is just like so many other dogs out there who are unique in themselves and deserve respect, love and a safe home. With the help of best-selling, Brazilian Illustrator Victor Tavares to bring the story to life, we’re now on a mission to independently publish both in Italy, where we live, as well as in the USA, where I’m from. We hope to share our story and continue spreading happiness, kindness and awareness through our experiences shared with this wonderful, imperfectly-perfect dog named Duggee, who is now an important part of our family.
